EAGLE LODGE

A true wilderness retreat set amongst some of BC’s steepest terrain

Overview

A small and social lodge in the quiet and remote town of Hagensborg in the Bella Coola Valley. The lodge consists of 5 double rooms, and 5 single rooms with either 2 queen beds or 1 queen bed respectively, all of which have ensuite bathrooms. Eagle Lodge is a real skiers lodge, with some of the best steep skiing in the area tucked in just behind the lodge. The Lodge includes all of your meals, which consists of full 3 course dinner and hearty breakfasts cooked by your private on-site chef, as well as  and freshly made sandwiches, hot soup and snacks for lunch. For an additional fee (or with use of your allotted flying time) it is possible to visit a heli-accessed natural hot springs from Eagle Lodge.

Location

Situated in the tiny town of Hagensborg in the Bella Coola Valley, just a few minutes drive from Bella Coola airport. If weather is clear enough you will land at Bella Coola airport and be transferred to the lodge by car, or in case of inclement weather you will divert to Anahim Lake airport and transfer from there instead. All heli-ski trips include flights to and from Vancouver and will be organized for you. A great bonus with this lodge is its location close to the picturesque township of Bella Coola, which you can discover on foot.

Terrain

Just a few minutes drive from Bella Coola airport, you will fly from here straight into the huge alpine area behind Eagle Lodge. With options for advanced intermediate through to experts, Eagle Lodge is another excellent options for singles and groups alike. Expect enormous glaciers (including the immense Monarch Icefield), glaciated terrain, long, open powder runs and summit-to-sea runs.
