On this 10-day adventure, you will spend the first few days “warming up” in the powder mecca of Whistler, British Columbia under the guidance of your private steep skiing guide, followed by four days of heli-skiing from a spectacular backcountry lodge in the remote and beautiful Bella Coola, British Columbia. If you and your crew are advanced skiers, comfortable on all terrain in-resort and looking to take your skiing to the next level, read on…

During this 10-day luxurious trip-of-a-lifetime, you will start off in Whistler, BC where you will be instructed and guided by one of the top guides in the area. You'll be encouraged to push your boundaries and learn to negotiate steep and deep terrain in a safe and encouraging atmosphere. After this Whistler warm-up, you'll fly up to a remote and spectacular backcountry heli-ski village to finish off the trip by putting your skills to the test with 4 days of heli-skiing deep BC powder.

Flying into Vancouver, the skiing starts in Mabey Ski's hometown of Whistler, BC – 2 hours north of Vancouver. After getting your steeps down in Whistler you'll fly up to the remote town of Bella Coola from Vancouver. This trip length is just a suggestion, if you'd like to extend your stay in Whistler, add in some more heli-hours or tag on a weekend in Vancouver, just let us know – bespoke is what we do best.

We have created this challenging and exhilarating trip for skiers and snowboarders comfortable riding off-piste in-resort and want to take their skiing into steeper and more technical terrain under safe, expert guidance.

This trip can take place between January and April each year, when BC's powder is at its best. It is recommended to book at least 12 months in advance, especially if you're looking to book for February-April.

Days 1-3

After arriving at Vancouver International Airport, you will be transferred to Whistler. Take in the mind-blowing scenery of the aptly named Sea-to-Sky Highway before checking into the slopeside Fairmont Chateau Whistler, nestled right at the base of Blackcomb mountain’s quiet and steep peaks.

After meeting your guide on the first morning, you’ll get a few warm-up laps in before discussing your goals for the next three days. You’ll start easing into some of the steeper and deeper terrain that has helped put Whistler Blackcomb on the map as the world’s number one freeride resort, with one of Whistler’s top mountain guides.

Days two and three will really challenge your skiing, with your expert guides teaching you the best techniques to tackle those steep chutes you’ve always dreamed of skiing with confidence. The aim of these warm-up days is to come out with a sense of real accomplishment, having pushed your boundaries and turned your skiing up a few notches.

Unwind at the end of the day with a drink in hand by the fire, or book in a massage at the spa to relax those well-worn muscles.

DAY 4

After three action-packed days in Whistler, it’s time to give your legs a rest for the day. You’ll be transferred to Vancouver Airport, where you’ll take a flight up to Bella Coola, soaring over the immense Coast Mountains, your playground for the next four days.

Upon landing, you’ll be collected and driven to the historic and remote Tweedsmuir Park Lodge. Time for the fun to begin! After a welcome reception, you’ll meet your ACMG heli-ski guide who will give you an overview of the current snow conditions and plan for the next four days.

Soon you’ll be tucking into a 3-course masterpiece prepared by the lodge’s private chefs, fuelling you up for tomorrow’s heli-adventure. After a digestif, you head to your room and get into your outrageously comfortable bed, dreaming about the powder skiing heaven ahead.

Days 5-10

Spend the next five days waking up to a freshly cooked breakfast of your choice. After chatting to your guide about plans for the day ahead, you gather up your gear and make your way outside to the helicopter, where the pilot is performing the last safety checks before you fly out. It’s time to put the skills you learnt in Whistler to good use and get ready for the best days’ skiing of your life. Majestic glaciers, towering rock spires, powder-filled glades and amphitheatre-like bowls await your tracks in the endless terrain.

After warming up on the rolling glaciers, you’ll move onto steeper couloirs, chutes and gullies under the watchful eye of your ACMG qualified guide. Snow quality and depths like you’ve never seen will push your confidence to new heights as the smooth and soft snow inspires you to push yourself to ski runs you hadn’t thought possible just a few days ago. The only thing aching more than your legs is your face, it’s virtually impossible to stop smiling out here! Back to the lodge for après snacks, beers and a hot tub before your delectable 3-course dinner, paired with local British Columbian wines. Life is good!

On departure day you will fly back to Vancouver where we will arrange to transfer you to the main terminal of the airport. This trip length is just a suggestion, if you’d like to extend your stay in Whistler, add in some more heli-hours or tag on a weekend in Vancouver, just let us know – bespoke is what we do best.
