Get off the beaten track and experience the very best of BC’s abundant wilderness on this 9-day adventure. Work on your steep and tree skiing technique in Whistler, before exploring remote backcountry trails and a rustic cabin by snow mobile. Fly up to the rugged mountains of Northern BC where you’ll spend four days heli-skiing some of the deepest, driest snow from this off-the-grid heli-ski village.
This 9-day adventurous journey will start off in Whistler, BC where you will drive snowmobiles up to a remote log cabin in the sub-alpine of the backcountry and explore this wilderness haven on skis. Following this, you'll fly up to the remote and rugged Northern BC for 4 powder-packed days of heli-skiing from your purpose-built heli-ski village.
Flying into Vancouver, this trip starts in Mabey Ski's hometown of Whistler, BC – 2 hours north of Vancouver. After exploring Whistler's wilderness, you'll take a 1.5-hour flight up to Smithers or Terrace from Vancouver. A 4-hour ground transfer will lead you deep into Coast and Skeena Mountains – home to Bell 2 Lodge and the largest single heli-skiing area in the world.
This trip is designed for advanced to expert skiers looking for something a little different from their ski trip. Guests should have experience skiing in powder snow, although no ski touring or backcountry knowledge is required.
This trip can take place between January and April each year, when BC's powder is at its best. It is recommended to book at least 12 months in advance, especially if you're looking to book for February-April.
Days 1-4
Spend the first day getting acquainted with your surroundings as your guide shows you some of the best powder stashes around Whistler Blackcomb. Once you’ve got your ski legs warmed up, your guide will introduce you to some of Whistler’s wilder terrain and show you how to tackle the steeps and tree runs.
On your last full day in Whistler, you will start your morning making fresh tracks by snow mobile. Explore remote backcountry trails before arriving at a rustic cabin where you’ll have the chance to warm up and refuel with a full Canadian breakfast cooked on an old fashioned wood stove. Tuck-into a skillet-style mountain feast of scrambled eggs, back bacon, Yukon gold potatoes, cheddar cheese, sauteed onions & peppers, along with pancakes, and Canada’s favourite maple syrup. After you’ve had your fill, take a turn on the frozen lake, or head off into the alpine before you descend back to reality.

DAY 5
After 3 full days of adventure in Whistler, it’s time to give your legs a rest for the day. You’ll be transferred to Vancouver Airport, where you will fly up to either Smithers or Terrace in Northern BC, soaring over the immense Coast Mountains, close to the Alaskan panhandle.
Upon landing, you’ll take a 4-hour ground transfer deep into Coast and Skeena Mountains – home to Bell 2 Lodge, your purpose built heli-ski village complete with bonfire, hot-tub, games room and bar. All the essentials!
Meet your fellow heli-skiers and share a beer and a delicious meal prepared by the on-site chef. After fueling up for the days ahead it’s time for a full night’s sleep in your log cabin, complete with a cosy fireplace. Time to rest up and dream of tomorrow’s adventures.

Days 6-9
After waking up to a delicious breakfast and a stretch in the fitness centre each morning, your ACMG certified guide will talk through the objectives and snow conditions for the days ahead. After brushing up on your avalanche safety, excitement starts to kick in as you clip up your boots and head out to the heli.
Spend the next four days skiing the largest single heli-skiing area in the world. Offering a great mix of wide open bowls and tree runs the endless terrain will give you the opportunity to put your recently practiced skills to use. Powder snow that is both deep and light can be rare in BC, but not up here – the light fluffy stuff just keeps on piling up. For any down days where you cannot fly due to unfavourable weather the lodge is well set up to keep you entertained with fat-bikes, archery, snowshoes, hot tubs, massage therapy and more…
